Future Aspirations -Learn, Earn and Return

Looking ahead, I see my life in three distinct phases: learn, earn, and return. In the “learn” phase, I’m focused on gaining as much knowledge and experience as possible through my studies in project management, my work in architecture, and the diverse projects I take on.

The “earn” phase is about building a meaningful career where I can lead teams, deliver impactful projects, and create stability for myself and those around me.

Ultimately, the “return” phase is where I give back, whether that’s mentoring students, supporting community initiatives, or using my skills to create positive change in the built environment and beyond.

Year Representative – Undergraduate Architecture (TU Dublin Years 1-4)

Member of the ASA (Architecture Students Association).

Represented student interests in academic meetings and contributed to curriculum discussions.

Organised events and led fundraising for charities like Pieta (suicide prevention) and Focus Ireland (homelessness support).

Organised social events, including the yearly Architecture Ball -creating custom architecture awards in SketchUp and producing them using 3D printing.

Head Prefect – Secondary School

I led student initiatives as the primary student leader, taking responsibility for organizing and driving activities that enhanced school life. I acted as a key liaison between students and staff, effectively communicating concerns and collaborating to implement positive changes.

Managed major school events that promoted discipline and fostered a strong sense of community spirit among students. While enforcing school policies, I always maintained an approachable attitude to ensure students felt supported.

Additionally, I mentored younger prefects, helping them develop leadership skills and confidence. I represented the student body in disciplinary and strategic meetings, ensuring their voices were heard in important decisions.

Head Lifeguard – Southampton Camp and Club, Hamptons, NY, USA

I managed the daily operations of the lifeguard team, ensuring all safety protocols and regulations were strictly followed to protect campers and staff.

Trained and mentored junior lifeguards, providing guidance on best practices for surveillance, emergency response, and first aid techniques.

I supervised aquatic activities, maintaining a vigilant presence to prevent accidents while fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

One could say there was no running on my watch.

Leadership Skills

Meitheal Leader – Secondary School

I coordinated peer support activities and cultural engagement programs that strengthened student connections across the school. I focused on supporting new students' smooth integration, helping them build friendships and feel welcome from day one.

Addressed bullying issues from my younger years by providing confidential counseling to affected students, creating a safe space for them to share their experiences.

Through advocacy for those affected, I worked with staff to implement changes that improved school safety. My efforts contributed to creating a more inclusive environment where every student felt valued and protected.

Rugby Captain – Naas Rugby Club

I motivated and led the team both on and off the field, setting the tone for performance and attitude during matches and practices. I fostered strong team spirit by building camaraderie and maintaining high morale even during challenging seasons.

Organized training sessions, coordinating schedules and ensuring players were prepared both physically and tactically. As captain, I represented the club in leadership roles, communicating with coaches, officials, and other teams on behalf of Naas Rugby Club.

My approach balanced celebration of team unity, such as our post-match local pub gatherings, with accountability for performance, learning to deliver constructive feedback while preserving the positive team environment that defines successful rugby culture.

Chairperson, Green Schools Committee – Secondary School (Years 1-3)

Sustainability has always been a passion of mine, evident from a very young age through my leadership in environmental initiatives on the Green Schools Committee.

I led the school's sustainability initiatives as Chairperson, coordinating projects to achieve Green Schools flags and promote environmental awareness.

I organised school clean-ups, recycling programs, energy-saving campaigns, and educational workshops for students and staff.

Through committee leadership, I fostered collaboration between students, teachers, and local authorities to implement practical green policies and sustainable practices.
