My Education

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to pursue my education, which have allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. These experiences have shaped my passion for learning, leadership, and making a meaningful impact in every project and team I am part of.

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, where I am expanding my expertise in advanced project methodologies, strategic business practices, and team leadership.

My undergraduate degree was in Architectural Technology, a four-year program focused on intensive studio projects that honed my architectural skills alongside expertise in design, project management, and academic research.

Prior to university, I attended Naas Christian Brothers Secondary School, serving as a prefect and Meitheal leader in my final year, which provided me with early leadership experience and a foundation in teamwork and community involvement.

In the future, I will undertake a Capstone Project, where I plan to develop an idea on how Artificial Intelligence can improve project schedules in construction, as AI is such a relevant topic in today's world.

This will allow me to explore emerging technologies and their practical impact on project efficiency and delivery.

I am actively collaborating with diverse group teams on assignments and presentations, which is continually enhancing my communication and teamwork skills.

Examples of my projects and coursework from this academic year so far are available to view on my portfolio page.

Current Postgraduate Studies

I am currently studying for a Master’s in Project Management at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, where the focus is on combining rigorous academic insight with practical, real-world project work across different sectors.

The programe develops skills in planning, leading, and governing projects, alongside critical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

I chose this Master’s in Project Management because it equips me with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to lead complex projects effectively, while allowing me to explore innovative solutions like AI integration in construction project management.

Through modules like Management of Projects & Change, Strategic Management of Projects, and Leading Project Teams, I am learning to manage the full project lifecycle, align projects with business strategy, and lead high-performing teams.

Undergraduate Studies

I completed my undergraduate degree in Architectural Technology at Technology University Dublin from 2021 to 2025, graduating with First Class Honours (1.1).

Over these four years, I developed a strong foundation in architectural design, project management, and academic research through intensive studio projects and coursework.

During my undergraduate studies, I gained proficiency in key architectural software including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design and drafting tools essential for modern architectural practice.

A particular highlight was my thesis titled, “How can climate resilient design be implemented in Ireland’s coastal areas to mitigate future rising sea level risks?”

This research reflected a deep personal interest in sustainability and climate adaptation. It involved an extensive investigation into innovative design solutions to address the challenges posed by rising sea levels.

The quality and relevance of my thesis were recognised when it was awarded and subsequently included in the School of Architecture and Built Environment’s (SABE) Empirical Publication, showcasing its contribution to academic knowledge and practice.

The knowledge and experience gained throughout these four years have been invaluable in shaping my technical expertise, critical thinking, and commitment to sustainable architectural practices.

Below, I have attached my Climate Resilient Design Booklet, which I created to accompany my thesis and dissertation for this research. Additional examples of my work throughout my undergraduate years can be found in my portfolio.

Secondary School Education

I attended Naas Christian Brothers Secondary School, where I undertook core subjects along with Design and Communication Graphics, Business Studies, Physics, and Geography.

These subjects provided a strong foundation in technical drawing, analytical thinking, and environmental awareness, shaping my future education choices toward Architectural Technology and Project Management.

I received all Honours grades in my Leaving Certificate subjects, reflecting my dedication to academic excellence and preparation for higher education.

In my final year, I served as Head Prefect and Meitheal Leader, leading student initiatives, coordinating peer support programs, and fostering a positive school community through events and conflict resolution.

Zambia Aid Immersion Project

In 2019, in my Transition Year of school, I participated in the CBS Aid Zambia Immersion Project, joining a group of students and teachers on a trip to Mazabuka, Zambia, where we visited orphanages and schools to engage directly with local communities.

Our activities included immersing ourselves in daily life, supporting educational initiatives, and contributing to development efforts through hands-on aid and awareness-raising.

This transformative experience fostered cultural empathy, global awareness, and a deeper commitment to service and collaboration in challenging environments.
