My Hobbies and Interests
Now for the adrenaline-filled page. My exciting hobbies and interests keep me energised, creative, and well-rounded beyond the drafting table and project deadlines.
These pursuits sharpen my leadership, fuel my imagination, and build the resilience needed to thrive in a working environment and life in general.
Whether jumping 16,000 ft out of a plane, leading my team on the rugby pitch or behind the DJ decks, I thrive on challenge and variety.
As you can see, I like to live on the edge…
Skydiving Adventure
Where ?: Honolulu, O’ahu Hawaii.
Height?: 16’00ft in the air.
Scared ?: Not one bit.
After my second J-1 abroad, I took a little detour to Hawaii before heading home. I then decided to take the ultimate leap of faith from 16,000 feet over the stunning Hawaiian coastline, diving out of the plane into pure adrenaline.
I expected to be eaten alive with fear, but instead I took one big breath and embraced the freefall, pure exhilaration from that first step into the void.
People said I was crazy, I say it was living my best life.
Surfing and Seaswims
I started surfing when I travelled to America, and though it was difficult at the start, I soon got into it and genuinely enjoyed the challenge. I learned to surf at Coppers Beach in the Hamptons, experiencing some of the best waves on the East Coast.
Back home in Ireland, I enjoy surfing whenever I can at popular spots like Bundoran and Lahinch, though a wetsuit is definitely required to brave the colder waters.
In addition to surfing, I also enjoy sea swims at notable spots such as the 40ft and Vico Baths along Dublin’s coast, combining fitness with the refreshing thrill of the ocean.
A fun fact is that I started November cold plunges every day throughout the month during my undergraduate college years with my fellow classmates, raising funds for men's mental health awareness.
Acting and Drama School
I trained at Vision Drama School in Temple Bar, Dublin from a very young age, diving deep into script learning, improvisation, performance techniques, voice training, and character development through intensive workshops.
I even landed professional voiceover roles for characters in RTE's animated cartoon series such as Roy and Punky bringing scripts to life with energy, precision, and authentic emotion.
These experiences not only built my confidence but also sharpened my public speaking, quick thinking under pressure, emotional expression, and adaptability.
Learning all these skills benefited me from a young age as I now apply them directly to presentations, team leadership, and dynamic project management scenarios.
I am still deeply interested in screenwriting and directing, and would love to pursue this further alongside my career in project management in the future.
Me
Rugby and other Sports
I originally started my rugby journey at Clane Rugby Club before progressing to Naas Rugby Club, where I served as a key player and often times captain, leading team training sessions, developing match strategies, and guiding player development at competitive levels.
I was also an avid player on the local GAA team Raheens, but stepped away just before starting undergraduate studies due to mounting commitments.
Keeping fit and healthy is important to me for personal well-being and long-term success, so I regularly hit the gym for structured weight training and conditioning.
Recently, I've taken up padel and go weekly with friends, enjoying the fast-paced rallies and social competition that keep me sharp and connected.
My Taste in Music
Music Genres
I have a diverse taste leaning heavily towards funk and rock, with some of my all-time favourite artists including Jamiroquai for their infectious grooves and soulful vibes, Talking Heads for their quirky rhythms and innovative edge, and Pink Floyd for those epic, mind-bending soundscapes that transport me to another world.
These genres fuel my creativity during late-night study sessions or gym workouts, blending high energy with thoughtful introspection that keeps me motivated and inspired in both personal and professional pursuits.

Music Instruments
I've played piano since a very young age, reaching Grade 8 through relentless practice, structured lessons, and the discipline of perfecting every note to capture the full emotional depth of each piece.
At a later age, I taught myself guitar through self-directed exploration, diving into online tutorials, chord progressions, and strumming patterns to expand my musical range and fuel my creative side.
I'm also an avid collector of vinyls, with a collection of over 100 records, with my rarest gem being The Beatles' White Album.
Music Gigs
I've always loved mixing music, getting my first decks at a young age and experimenting endlessly to create mixes that I shared proudly on YouTube, building an early audience and refining my ear for seamless transitions.
This passion evolved through DJing at friends' secondary school parties, where I brought the house down with custom sets tailored to the crowd's energy.
In my early college years, it progressed to earning paid gigs at popular Dublin nightclubs, turning my hobby into a real income stream while mastering live performances.
As a member of the DJ Society, I mentored fellow students by teaching my unique mixing styles and techniques which was nice to see everyone's choice of music come alive.
My Passion for Film
I'm deeply passionate about film, from dissecting narratives to crafting my own screenplays, drawing inspiration from storytelling that blends emotion, strategy, and visual innovation, much like project planning on the big screen.
My favorite Scorsese is The Departed for its tense cat-and-mouse intrigue and moral ambiguity, while Tarantino's Jackie Brown stands out for its clever heists, sharp wit, and iconic soundtrack.
I even maintain a Letterboxd account where I log every new movie I watch and leave detailed reviews, tracking my cinematic journey and connecting with fellow film enthusiasts worldwide. Below are some recent reviews for the latest films I have seen.
